What happens during treatment?

Surgical-grade microneedles create tiny wounds that accelerate the body's natural healing process and work to repair the skin through increased production of collagen and elastin.

Are treatments painful?

Thanks to the optimal needle count, needle design and speed of treatment, many clients find treatments with TWIST involve minimal discomfort and are more tolerable than treatments with standard microneedling devices.

What happens after treatment?

Depending on treatment intensity you may experience redness and minor pin-point bleeding immediately after a microneedling treatment. Post-treatment redness may appear like a mild sunburn and last up to 3 days.

How many treatments are required?

Clients are able to see results in as little as 13 days with collagen production formulating 6 weeks post -treatment. Depending on the treatment area and desired outcome, most clients will require 4-6 treatments to achieve their best results

Is this treatment for you?

This treatment is not suitable for all skin types, clients are required to have a consultation prior to treatment to determine suitability.

 

At your consultation, your therapist will create a tailored preparation plan based on your skin type. Adhering to your preparation plan is key to achieving optimum results from your Skin Needling treatment.


2 weeks prior to treatment:

Avoid Laser Hair Removal, waxing, depilatory creams, and IPL treatments on the face
Avoid Cosmetic Grade Peels
Avoid Cosmetic Injectables
Avoid sun exposure, always wear SPF


For clients with medium to dark skin tones or prone to hyperpigmentation, we advise you to prep the skin with a melanin inhibitor such as our OBAGI MEDICAL RANGE ~ NU-DERM Exfoderm Forte This will help reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation after the treatment.

1 week prior to treatment:
Avoid exfoliating products such as Retin-A and exfoliating acids. Avoid using any active ingredients in your skincare range.
For clients prone to hyperpigmentation, we advise you to prep the skin with a melanin inhibitor such as the OBAGI Medical NU-DERM Exfoderm Forte, this includes all skin types capable of producing melanin. This will help reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation after the treatment.




AFTER SKIN NEEDLING

AFTERCARE
Any redness and irritation will subside within 3-4 hours.
For the first 48 hours, avoid excessive sun exposure, hot showers, and saunas, strenuous exercise.
Avoid swimming or strenuous exercises at least for the next 24-48 hours.

Use correct aftercare including gentle hydrating products such as the OBAGI MEDICAL Gentle Cleanser, OBAGI MEDICAL Moisturiser, OBAGI MEDICAL Daily Hydro-Drops

Avoid active/exfoliating products for the next 5-7 days after the treatment.

Don't pull or pick any loose skin after the treatment.


FOR BEST RESULTS
For optimum results, we recommend a total course of 4-6 treatments with each treatment spaced monthly.
